From then on, Carey was a music machine producing 10 albums in 15 years including "Emotions," "Butterfly" and "The Emancipation of Mimi." Songs like Dreamlover, Emotions and Fantasy endeared her to teens in the 90s who could identify with Carey's candies lyrical focus on love. Carey married Columbia Records exec Tommy Mottola in 1993 and by 1996 the two separated. In 2001, Carey tried her hand at acting in Glitter, but the film showed poorly. Exhaustion, stress and the end of her relationship boyfriend Luis Miguel caused a very public emotional breakdown on MTV's Total Request Live. Carey proved unstoppable; she just finished The Adventures of Mimi World Tour in 2006. Carey is well known for her collaborative efforts with Jermaine Dupri, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Snoop Dogg. Her work with The Make a Wish Foundation and The Fresh Air Fund has helped countless children fulfill their dreams. Carey recently released "M" perfume with Elizabeth Arden.
